About Our Church
Our History
Founded in 1945 as Resurrection Baptist Church by the late Rev. Register, the House of the Good Shepherd has been a pillar of faith and service in Philadelphia for nearly eight decades. Committed to both spiritual growth and community outreach, the church has established vital programs, including a food ministry to feed those in need and annual community days supporting 27th Street and beyond. Under the leadership of Pastor John W. Frisby IV, the legacy of Rev. Register and the late Rev. James N. Walker continues, fostering a spirit of worship, service, and fellowship. We welcome you to join us as we study the Word of God and uplift our community together!
